Introducing Landbot 4: Faster, Smarter Automations with AI Agents

Over the past months, we’ve been quietly rebuilding Landbot from the inside out. Not with a flashy overhaul or a new coat of paint, but with a deeper question in mind: What would Landbot look like if it were designed today?

That single question reshaped our research, our roadmap, and ultimately the product we’re introducing today — meet Landbot 4. 

Landbot 4 brings AI, new integrations, and interface upgrades together into a faster and more intelligent platform designed for teams who want to build high-conversion experiences without complexity slowing them down.

The Road to Landbot 4

Landbot 4 didn’t start as a roadmap item, but rather as a discovery process.

Over months, we immersed ourselves in how our customers were using Landbot for lead generation. We interviewed users, mapped the most common blockers, and validated ideas directly with customers to identify their main needs:

• More bidirectional native integrations. 
• Workflows that are easier and faster to build.
• A modern and trustworthy user interface.
• AI that’s easy to implement and works without limitations.

Those insights shaped the vision of Landbot 4, and to turn that vision into reality, we brought the entire company together for a full-week hackathon. Product, engineering, CX, marketing, and design worked side-by-side to solve our customers’ pain points and prototype, test, and validate new concepts.

By the end of the week, the foundations of Landbot 4 were born: a modernized interface, breakthrough AI capabilities, simpler integrations, and a more intuitive building experience.

What follows is the first wave of those ideas, now ready for the world.

What’s New in Landbot 4

AI Copilot

Landbot 4 introduces AI Copilot, an in-product assistant for understanding, building, and troubleshooting workflows. The AI Copilot answers users’ questions, such as how the builder works, what a specific block does, or how to set up a feature. It also assists the building process by performing actions. Users can tell the AI Copilot what they want to achieve, and it will add steps to the conversational flow, connect logic, validate inputs, and set up integrations. All through natural language and all right inside the Landbot builder. 

AI Copilot is now part of both the builder and our Help Center bot, creating an AI-assisted support layer across the product.

AI Agent Block

The new AI Agent Block lets you embed AI agents directly inside chatbot flows, without webhooks or workarounds.

AI Agents can:

• Collect and store structured data;
• Answer questions using knowledge bases;
• Coordinate with rule-based flows;
• Trigger integrations or human handoffs;
• Adapt to user intent on the fly.

This gives you the best of both worlds: create structured flows where you need control and precision, and let AI take the wheel when you want natural, flexible conversations. You decide when to use each approach.

Hybrid AI

Hybrid AI creates a native hybrid experience inside Landbot, enabling AI Agents to dynamically render UI elements during a chat. It allows end-users to interact through both natural language and structured UI components, like buttons, selectors, or autocomplete fields, improving both the conversational experience and conversion.

OpenAI Integration

The new OpenAI Block brings native LLM capabilities into the builder, removing the need for complex webhook setups. 

The new block allows you to:

• Analyze user responses
• Generate dynamic content
• Classify user intent
• And process data

Without any technical hurdles. Users can simply add the OpenAI block to their flows and then add their API key, configure prompts and parameters, and test LLM-driven steps directly inside Landbot.

n8n Integration

Landbot 4 introduces a native n8n integration with true two-way communication. You can now trigger workflows, send and receive data, and create scalable automations with clear visibility and reliability.

The n8n integration allows users to connect chatbots and AI Agents with any tool or API on the market and execute complex automations. It’s the bridge to infinite integrations and custom business logic, without depending on developers.

Landbot 4 isn’t just an update. It’s the beginning of a new era built on native AI, integrated automations, and a modern user interface, which enables faster and more confident bot building.
